The galaxy is an amazingly beautiful fish that can bring joy from contemplation not only to experienced aquarists, but also to people who are just starting to do aquarium work. Unpretentiousness in its content is quite important for novice lovers. Sizes vary: males - up to 2.6 cm, females - up to 2.7 cm. Shelf life is about two to three years.
Fish is almost omnivorous; it takes both ready-made, granular food from a sachet (small or medium size), and perfectly accepts live food suitable for it in size. It should be noted that this species of fish does not take food floating on the surface.
Maintenance and care
Living conditions are quite simple: the temperature is from 22 to 30 degrees. More comfortable, according to experts, will be water in the region from 22 to 26 degrees. Water parameters are not so important, as for many, this fish successfully lives in ordinary tap water.
For spawning in the aquarium, replace with fresh, somewhat cool water, which stimulates this fish to spawn.
Galaxies spawn on moss litter or a specially prepared washcloth. Malek must be "raised" by living "dust." Malek is not eaten by adults, so this is also important for novice lovers. It is desirable to keep this fish in species aquariums, with small peaceful fish.
